A day in the life of an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer will involve;
• Carrying out Inspecting & Testing on customers electrical installations (EICR’s) 
• Completing all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection & testing.
• Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time.

The ideal candidate for an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer at Electrical Test Midlands will have:
• The flexibility to work 40 hours per week
• A full UK Driving Licence, with 6 points or less.
• NVQ/SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
• City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 preferred but not essential
• A good level of IT literacy.
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment
• An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.

Commercial electricians

 

Job description

The job of an Electrician involves working as part of a team or individually to complete commercial electrical installation/Remedial works.

The Role

To carry out electrical installation works

Such work to include:

Must possess an ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative, to enable completion of the work in a safe and professional manner and as far as is reasonably practicable minimising impact to the client, whilst achieving the required work volume and output required by the company

The role requires a person with good communication skills, capable of working (and communicating with site engineers to achieve the completion of works within specified times).as part of a team

Duties to include the requirement for carrying out electrical works.

Essential:

Must be an innovative self-motivated individual, capable of performing to high standards.

Possess recognised electrical qualification preferably as a time served electrician

City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in requirements for Electrical Installations (current IEE wiring regulations) City & Guilds Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent 18th edition. NVQ Level 3(2391/2394/5. ECS Card.

Portable Appliance Testers


Demand for our Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) services is high from existing and new Electrical Test Midlands customers, so we are continually looking to expand our national team of Engineers.

The role will require you to safely carry out inspection and testing of electrical equipment and produce results/reports that meet the requirements of the current edition of the IET Code of Practice, clients and external accrediting bodies.

More specifically you will be required to:

Carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice
Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies
Adhere to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures at all times
Act with integrity and professionalism in all communications with clients and colleagues
Keep abreast of changes and amendments of standards, regulations and best practice within the industry
Travel throughout the UK to service client needs
To perform the role you will need:

City & Guilds 2377
Full UK Driving Licence
Relevant computer literacy to enable generation and electronic submission of results
Strong verbal communication skills
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Flexibility and good personal organisation

Domestic Test / Inspection Engineer

The role will involve the following:

Carrying out electrical periodic inspection and testing work in and around the Birmingham area. Working closely with the Technical Manager and Operations team· Producing accurate NICEIC reports· Fully funded vehicle provided· Test equipment provided 

To be considered for this role applicants need to have the following experience and qualifications:

 A recognised electrical qualification, preferably as a time served Tester· City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395· A proven ability to work in a safe manner in accordance with company policies and safety legislation· In addition candidates must have the dedication to keep up to date with current legislation and undertake any training as required.
